The Shuwa Foundation for Health recently conducted a community entry and nutrition outreach in Njimtilo village, located in Jere Local Government Area. During our visit, we observed a significant number of malnutrition cases among children and vulnerable groups, highlighting an urgent need for sustained nutritional support and intervention.
In discussions with the Bulama and community elders, numerous challenges were identified—ranging from inadequate access to clean water and sanitation (WASH) facilities to limited healthcare and nutrition services. These issues continue to pose serious threats to the health and well-being of residents, particularly children.
The community acknowledged that only the State Government and the FRAD Organisation have consistently provided support over the years. We sincerely commend both the State Government and FRAD for their commendable performance and unwavering dedication to serving humanity, especially in hard-to-reach and underserved areas like Njimtilo.
The Shuwa Foundation remains committed to partnering with communities and stakeholders to improve health outcomes and address malnutrition through sustainable, community-driven initiatives.
